Rydalmere consists of both Residential and Commercial properties. The Western side is where most of the commercial properties are located, and the Eastern side is mainly residential.  

Rydalmere is great for transport, with a train station located on the Carlingford Line of the Cityrail Network. Rydalmere also offers a ferry service on Parramatta River, travelling between Parramatta and Circular Quay. Adding to the great transport options are the 5 bus routes that service Rydalmere and the surrounding areas.
